The focus of your first chiropractic visit is to establish a diagnosis. The diagnosis allows your chiropractor to determine whether chiropractic is the treatment of choice and what chiropractic techniques can be used.
In certain cases your chiropractor may be unable to make a diagnosis without further investigation. When this happens you chiropractor will discuss options for further investigations and make arrangements by email or letter.
A diagnosis is established via a medical history and clinical examination. The clinic examination includes both orthopaedic and neurological examinations. The results of the clinical examination, diagnosis and treatment plan are discussed during your review of findings. With your consent your chiropractor will then perform a chiropractic treatment on your first chiropractic visit.
